Hunde und kleinere katastrophen

Hund hat sich heute entschieden ganz bei uns zu bleiben. Die etappe ist sehr lang und ich kann sehen, dass es hart für ihn ist, aber er ist sein eigener hund und entscheidet wann er nicht mehr kann. Im centre d'acceuil ist der manager sehr verständnisvoll und erlaubt dass er auf dem gelände bleibt. Aber wir müssen eine endgültige lösung finden. Bruno ruft dem SPA an – das ist der französische tierschutz aber da ist am wochenende niemand. Also ruft er der polizei an, da sagt ihm einer würde den hund holen kommen – er kommt aber nicht. Nach einem neuerlichen anruf sagt man ihm wir sollten morgen im laufe des vormittags vorbeikommen und den hund bringen.Na grossartig – damit wäre der tag dann futsch. Daraufhin wird es Bruno zu bunt – und da er morgen nicht nochmals mit Hund laufen will, zieht er aus der gite aus, damit er morgen ohne das tier starten kann. Hund bleibt hier – ich werde wohl noch zwei etappen mit ihm gehen und montag dann der SPA anrufen, um zu sehen was zu machen ist. Jetzt bin ich erschossen, denn die 33km haben mich ganz schön geschlaucht, besonders auch weil es heute extrem heiss war. Man würde nicht glauben, dass es oktober ist. Und morgen soll es auch nochmals so heiss werden. Aber wenigstens ist die etappe 5km kürzer.

Dog decides to stay with us completely today. The etappe is very long and wearing on the dog... but he is his own master and decides when to quit. He bravely pushes on, intent on keeping up. At the centre d'acceuil the manager allows Dog to stay on the grounds as long as he doesn't enter the rooms. But we need to find a definitiv solution. Bruno calls the SPA but on weekends nobody is there. So he tries the police where he is told somebody would come to pick up Dog. But they just prevaricated – nobody comes and when he calls again he is told to pass by the gendarmerie later in the morning tomorrow. Great – we are pilgrims – we start before eight. Bruno in any case has no intention going on with Dog and decides to leave the gite and find lodging somewhere else so that he can leave without Dog in the morning. The dog stays here and I will continue probably til monday when I can contact the SPA. I do hope we can find a solution then. For now I am busted. The etappe was long – I don't think there are many more kilometers per day in my feet. But it was also extremely hot – incredible to think that it is beginning of November. And tomorrow it's supposed to be as hot. Great. But at least the etappe will be 5km shorter.
